Sing Democracy 250 Signature Concerts
We are delighted to announce the first Signature Concert and the world premiere of Sing Democracy 250! The event will be held on October 12, 2025, at Marian Anderson Hall in the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.
Our anchor choir, Together In Hope Choir, will feature on each of the four Signature Concerts below, in collaboration with local performers from each area listed below. Artistic Director G. Phillip Shoultz, III will lead each Signature Concert.

Philadelphia, PA - October 12, 2025
Sing Democracy 250 is proud to partner with the Philadelphia Youth Choral Ensembles (PYCE), the pre-eminent choral music education and performing organization for children and youth in the Greater Philadelphia region. PYCE will join forces with the Together In Hope Choir to deliver this world-premiere performance.
Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN - April 2026
Sing Democracy 250 will next feature in the organization’s home of the Twin Cities in April of 2026, joined by the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra and choirs from all four corners of the State of Minnesota, in partnership with the state chapter of the American Choral Directors’ Association (ACDA).
New York, NY - May 2026
The third signature concert will take place in May of 2026 in New York City, the nation’s first capital, largest metropolitan area, and a major hub for the arts and democracy.
Washington, D.C. - June 2026
The final Signature Concert will take place in our nation’s capital of Washington, D.C. in June of 2026 - a special culminating effort in the weeks leading up to America’s 250th and the semiquincentennial anniversary of the Declaration’s signing.
