Who started “Sing Democracy 250”?

Sing Democracy 250 is the brainchild of Gary Aamodt and Celia Ellingson, individuals who are passionate about music with a purpose. They founded Together In Hope Project in 2017 to create music-based projects designed to raise awareness on important issues of our shared humanity. Read more about Gary and Celia here.

When and where was the Declaration of Independence signed?

The Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, at the Pennsylvania State House in Philadelphia. It was engrossed on parchment and on August 2, 1776, delegates began signing it.

What is Together In Hope Project?

The Together In Hope Project is a nonprofit organization on a mission to change lives through music with a purpose. Founded in 2017, Together In Hope Project carries out its mission by creating unique, music-anchored projects to address a need and an opportunity for healing and reconciliation. The Together In Hope Choir consists of 54 premier artists, selected through invited auditions.
